    ???long Worm???

I just got some Jakarta live rock today and Im seeing this realy long worm. Its go to be about 8 inches long minimum and its 3mm thick and pokes arround the rock and the substrate. Its brown and has beige spots. Its smoth skinned. It wont be possible to take a good picture of him. Maybe somoene has an idea of what it could be?? Should I be worried??:scared2:

Thanks in advance for any info/input.

peanut worms don't get that long. If it isn't a bristle worm- with white spines running along both sides from head to tail- then I wouldn't necessarily assume it is not reef safe...It's hard to say- even if I saw a pic, I don't know if I would be able to say one way or another, whether it is reef safe or not. I'd be inclined to leave it in...

    Thanks Matt,
Ok Ill leave it in, this thing looks docile anyway...

I did see a 4 inch bristle worm for a few seconds before it went into a hole. Those things move fast and just look realy nasty, I wonder how big this thing will get and what Ill have to do to remove it?...

You sure it's not a simple Brittlestar arm? I agree with Matt.

Nah Tout, its not Im sure. There are 2 worms, one is long and more like a tape worm looking thing and the other is a fast bristle worm with the white hairs on both sides. Im sure its not a star because it comes out and eats, its mouth is on the end of its cylindrical body (not a comon trait for a star).

Why are bristle worms considered so bad? What do they do?
