    attaching a mushroom

    i have a small polyp that must of fell off or got blown off the rock so is there a way that i can reattach it?

    For mushrooms, I use an elastic band and attach it to a small piece of rick. I've also used 'fishing line' and tied it to a small rock.

    won;t hte elastic band tear the mushroom? how long will it take to reattach?

    don't do the elastic thing, its messy and you'll hurt the mushroom. all you need to do is put a glass full of small live rock pieces at the bottom of your tank and drop the mushroom in it. should attache within a week.

    Some peoples use Toothpick to hold them on the rock or small crevise, after a week it is easy to rermove the Toothpick

    If you have a small rock that you want it on then I just set the mushroom on it and set it in a low flow area, fuge worked great and it was attached in a few days.

    i just tryed using a piece of string to tie it on a small rock but it must of wiggle it's way out of it somehow as i tied it pretty good. now it;s just sitting on the rocks. i don;t have a light in my fuge yet so i don;t want to risk it

    i was just about to try to reattach it again but the polyp has already attached on it;s own to the rock.
    it must of attached overnight
