Exclamation Banggai Cardinal eats Cleaner Shrimp!!!

I couldnt believe my eyes when i came home! I see my banggai cardinal with shrimp sticking out of his mouth. has anyone heard of anything like this before? I assume i should be concerned for my other shrimp in the tank. It is incredible as he is not really much bigger than the shrimp if at all. Also it has been 2 hours since i fist saw it, and the shrimp is still sticking out of his mouth, could it be stuck? or is he just waiting to digest the first half before swallowing the rest?
    here is the pic:

well, there is no way to really be sure as it is already inside him. But i cant imagine that he would even eat a molt. I had 4 shrimp and now only see 3 of them. could be he was eaten, or molted and hiding (to many hiding places to check). so i cant say for sure, but i dont see the 4th shrimp and i dont think he would eat a molt.

Alrha, did you count all your cleaner shrimps to see if you were missing one.

I'm a bit concern too cause I do have a Banggai Cardinal that I just add up a month ago. And I do have cleaner shrimps but they don't seem to bother him.
Does your Banggai move a lot?

Are your shrimp adults or are they still juvinile. I could see it happeneing if they were still juvinile, but once they get past a certain size, I would think it would be impossible for the banggai to put one in his mouth. My 2 banggais are adults and I cant imagine them fitting my cleanershrimp in there heh.

this morning the shimp is no longer sticking out of his mouth (and still only count 3 shrimp in the tank / one missing).

The shrimp were adults, the cardinal did not move much. usually just swims in place.

i too did not think it would be possible for him to eat the shrimp. they seem way to big to fit in his mouth.
