IDís needed for hitchhiker and new corals

I saw the clamís mantle in one spot not as extended as the rest so I took a closer look and this is what I found. The picture is not that clear but it looks allot like a snail head the antennas and mouth, it also looks as if itís using part of the clam shell as itís own. Anybody have any idea what this is? Is it dangerous? Should I take the clam out and try to kill it? Please help.

This is another little hitchhiker I got about 4 months ago when I bought this coral it was hardly a speck when I first put the coral in my tank, now itís starting to look like itís going to be a beautiful coral, any ideas what kind it will be?

One more ID needed for a coral I just bought.

Here are some pics I took at the same time.

    Full Tank shot.

First picture looks like a snaill, i wouldnt worry.

Second picture looks like poccilopora, but thats just a guess.

Your tank is looking good, keep it up!
PLEASE SEND ALL ACROPORA FRAGS TO THE REEFSURFER

I have one of my clams that has the same sort of thing on it. It almost to me looks like a barnicle or something. I thought that I was going to loose this clam a couple of months ago as it bleached out almost completely and was clamped almost shut. It is now gotten all it's color back although it is still now extending as much. This growth has always been there and it has never extended over the growth. I'm curious too.

I can't make out the thing on the clam- does the clam still expand fully?
I agree with surferdude on the second shot- poccilopora or stylophora.
and the third shot looks like hydnophora. A very agressive hard coral.

As in it will sting the crap out of it's neighbours so you need to be more careful with it's placement & keep on eye on it as it grows. You might need to cut it back more often.

    Cheers!
