    zoo keeping

I have many differnt zoo frags in my tank. I am noticed that the zoos that are in the path of my 201 power head are doing best. I have even frag some onto the power head it self.

Im thinking about upgrading my power head pump that takes air out of my overflow to the type that sweep back and forth.

Should i do this? more flow cant hurt right?

If you're talking about the zoomed powerheads ... I've heard nothing but bad things about them. I'd suggest finding another way to increase/modify the flow in your tank. The zooz will do well in pretty much any flow condition in my opinion.

As long as you don't point the flow directly at the polyps. They won't like that at all. Try to direct the flow over the frags/colony or beside it. I find that pointing the powerheads up to the top, in an open area or at a glass pane works very well. That way you are shure not to have a power head pointed at your little treasures. Oh and I only use MJ1200 they work great.

No they arent. I had 2 zoomed power sweepers, they were noisey and they always got stuck and ceased up, no matter how often i cleaned them. I thought they were absolute junk. I prefer the ehiem power ball with the sweeper attachemnt... they are very reliable and not a noisey.
