    Nice looking fish.
20 inches in the wild, typically 10 in aquariums. Reclusive or not you should be able to find it. ;-)

    How big is it now?

Ya know John, you just might end up getting MORE people to change out from a reef to a FO. People are always asking for something original as far as a fish and I think you're doing fine so far for originality!! That's an awesome fish..., congrats!!!! ( even though it DID make an expensive meal of your firefish...).

Indeed, that truly is an awesome fish...
I wonder how hard it would be to maintain a pristine water condition with a FO tank that size, and the amount of fish you'll have...

Will you just be using LR as filtration? Or do you have something like a wet/dry in mind?

My FO tank is also in the works, on a MUCH smaller scale at 60 gallons... however it will be plumbed into my Reef so I should be ok in terms of water quality. Nonetheless, I do worry...

    worried about fish only?

fish only is way easier then reef keeping..

im gonna use a canister filter no sump on a 125g.. all for bio-logical filtration and gonna buy another CSS 3004 skimmer to hang on tank..

go search on net.. lots of tanks out there with no sump and little to no liverock..

    Cool

I've added a FLVAL 304 with charcoal and also preclean pads and charcoal pads in the sump. I also sold the NASO and I'm trying to catch the yellow tang and hippo but I don't think they'll go for it. I will be trading out my pink skunks and will be adding 2 gold strip maroon clowns!

Yup... Especially when the FO tank is part of a Reef tank with pristine water conditions like mine. FO tanks tend to go high in terms of nitrates. SPS corals don't tolerate high nitrate conditions.

With all those FO tanks out there on the net with no sump and little to no liverock, I wonder how many of them have almost undetectable nitrates?
