    What the heck is this?!

I was watching my tank one night, and noticed this wierd wormy thing strech out from the rock so I started observing it daily...

It never changes locations. Always comes out of the same hole in the rock. I've noticed its kinda got a mouth on the end... Kinda similar to an elephants trunk. It seems to be picking up debris and bits of food...

I have something like that. I saw it only once and it was pale in color.
Somebody told me it's a peanut worm.
Check some pictures of it on the net.

No threat to your fish/inverts from peanut worms; they sift over the sand near the rock they live in for detritus or other food on the sand.

I just saw the same thing in my tank last night. Went from about 1 inch showing out of the rock to about 4 inchs. Kinda gross...

I don't mean to be a threadjacker, but while we are aksing what things are, I have noticed I had these two red/pink things on my live rocks that I hadn't seen before. They were kind of round, and a round opening and every now and then they would open up as if it was breathing or eating.. I use past tense because since I noticed them, my hermit crab ate them both.. I am still curious what they could be.

Sorry about the crappy pics, I am still trying to master taking decent pics of my tank, or just any pictures for that matter. Someone in another forum thought it might have been a feather duster, but who knows..
