    Mixing salt

    Would mixing one brand of salt with another brand to do a water change be ok?

    Question

    I actually did just that 3 weeks ago have been using IO for about a year and bought a pail of Red Sea 3weeks ago "was on sale" and everything seems to be ok so far.

    Yah.... your not going to see a huge different between brands of salt, its all been analyzed before you can do a search on RC and pull up the different composition of the different brands

    I hope no i've used the same bucket of salt and added some here and there when i see a good deal on salt.

    i didn't figure there would be any bad effects
    if anything there would be a variety of nutrients of dificiencies that i would compensate for with additives anyways
