my live rock came last night

So I got my rock from ivan last night. Thanks Ivan! Anyway I was pretty sick last night but I was worried to much stuff on the rock would die so oI managed to get it in there. Anyway I was looking at it today and noticed some kind of brownish or yellowish tuny polyps on the roccks. About four of them. Kewl
    =)
So what I expect now? Will I probably see more hitchickers? =p
How long does it take for the corraline to spread?

Btw .. Just because you are feeling better, does NOT's mean you can get up ands tarty cleaning the house! Phew...I thought I was going to pass out. I'm still feeling pretty weak and shakey. So if anyone gets sick, watch out there is a nasty flu going around.

Yep there's a pretty nasty flu going around the base here as well. I'm just getting over it. Pretty crappy.

As for your tank. I hope your lucky enough to get all kinds of hitchhikers. Now it's the waiting game. Wait for the amonia to decline to 0 and then your on your way.
    Cheers,
    Mike Philpott

I've never had that before I got the live rock. =p The bubbles are on the substrate and the water surface. anyway I changed the water because I was worried it mean the water was going bad.

Good luck with your new rock, you never know what you'll get, good and bad. I added rock about 6 months ago and about three months later I found a mantis shrimp which I ended up getting rid of but not before it broke the glass on my heater. Luckly I had removed the piece of rock, about a ten pounder, and put it into a quarantine tank. The mantis ended up electrocuting himself when he broke the heater. On the good side I have gotten a snail, a crab, multiple polyps, mushrooms and a rock borrowing urchin (very cool). Good luck and have fun. PS - all of this rock came from Extreme Marine in Toronto.

Well today I woke up and went and turned on the lights to have a look at the rocks. What did I see? 2 tiny snails perched on top of the rocks =p
    Kewl !
Apparently they don't like the light tho because they crawled back into the rocks =p
