    Fire shrimp

I bought a fire shrimp and have not seen him since.

I was told they are shy but this is ridiculous. Will buying a second one make the first one come out? I do not want to spend another 45$ not to see them again.

Sometimes it takes them a while (and Seriously up to a few months)
to get comfortable. (mostly i saw them at night when they lights were off)
Now my shrimp will eat out of my hand and pick thing out from under my fingernail (i do have a pair though)
    give em some time

also if it is small, give it more time to get big, then it can't fit in those small places anymore and HAS to come out

whoa that kinda pricey! where did you get them?

they run about 30cdn in most places i've seen.

never had a fireshrimp, can't really tell ya what to do, most inverts i had alway huddled away until feeding time, then a crap load comes out of no where.

We got ours at Marinescape about a year ago. It is very healthy and happy and lives in the back of the reef. At feeding time it comes out and pokes around the bottom of the tank picking up blood works and brine shrimp.

They arte beautiful but if put into a tank with a reef they will disappear most of the time.

Fire shrimps are around $49.99 in LFS in Montreal.

Cleaner shrimps are much less, around $24.99.
