    Brain needs help!

I acquired a open green brain for free over the weekend, but there's a catch. Half of the skeleton is exposed, so there's only half of her is left. Is there any hope of saving her, any tricks? Can a brain recover old skeleton, or is that there for as long as she survives. I was thinking of hanging she up side down by her toes and letting her drip back down on the old stuff. Could that happen?

The best you can do is situate the dead skeleton out of sight next to your live rock. The coral will never repopulate it's old skeleton. This doesn't mean it can't recover and prosper. Don't put it directly under a halide and don't pound it with current. You can even feed it in the evening when the lights go out and it will help.

Thanks True Perc. Hold onto that Rio, and i'll take it off your hands in March. Maybe meet at the Royal Oak in Kanata over a pint. I'd have a go at that Acropora, but don't think i'm skilled enough yet.
