    Conch quarantine question

I'm in the process of aclimating a fighting conch I got today and I'm not sure if it would be best to quarantine it for 6-8 weeks like I do my fish or if it can go directly into the main tank. I don't know if conches can carry parasites or other disease but my main concern is that my quarantine tank is bare bottom and won't have much for the conch to eat.

Is it best to keep it in quarantine?...and if so, what do I feed it?
...or would it be best to make sure it has plenty to eat and put it directly into my main tank.

    Any suggestions would be great.
    Thanks

    better safe than sorry...

i thinl qt for a few weeks to make sure it doesn't carry anything.

otherwise if it dies in ur main tank it might die in a corner and cause pollution and stuff

QT EVERYTHING or you take your chances. The issue is that they may carry unwanted diseases / parasites in them, on them or attached to their shells.

I'll put the conch in my quarantine with the other fish. I can feed the fish the usual mix of foods that I feed in the main tank but I've never had a conch and I don't know what I should feed it while in quarantine. The quarantine is bare bottom so the conch won't be able to feed on the subsrate...do you think that it will find and feed on left over food on the bottom?
