    Fish in my Avator

I have had a ton of requests for the name of the fish in my avator. Firstly, no I don't have one but sure wish I did. It's called a Coris Picta, or also known as a Comb Wrasse. They come from Australia and new Zealand only. They are gluttons and very active fish. In the wild they can reach a size of 10 inches but will rarely get over 6 inches in an aquarium. Their character is similar to the lunare wrasse. They would be murder on your hermits etc as is a large Lunare wrasse. I have attached a picture of one.

IJO...if you ever see one of these, I'd make the trip to Ottawa in a heartbeat...hahaha. They are very rare in the aquarium trade but I did see a nice 3 inch one about 2 years ago. Just FYI!

    Mouse,

I saw what I believe to be your wrasse avatar today in Steve's acro-reef at Le Corail in Montreal on the south shore ...

I'll see if Steve will sell it to me ...

When I asked him the name, he called it a golden cleaner wrasse ????

I'll bring my digital camera to the store and have my pic taken with the wrasse ... bottom line ... how bad do you want that wrasse ... finder's fee! :bananadan

Montreal is way too far for me to drive for the fish. See what he wants for it and we'll see what I can do.

    Thanks
