    RODI 100GPD Unit

Got one of these from Ivan many many months ago and just got around to installing it. Still a few drips here and there but looks like it is working.

TDS in is ~118... out is ~4 or 5.... so it looks good there.

Question is speed. I got a 5G jug done in about 15 mins. Does that make sense? The description says it should be 1 1/2 G per HOUR!

I'm confused on this.... can I trust the inline TDS meter?

    5g in 15 mins....that ain't right.
Can you post a picture of how you have it setup?
Here is how it should be setup.....

It sounds like you're using the 'waste water' that is used to rinse the RO membrane.

Are you using the waste line instead of the pure one?

My waste line from Ivan was red.
    180g AGA inwall W/ 2 overflows W/ 205g sump 20g fuge, 77g W/ 30g sump 12g fuge w/mag 9.5 pump.

    Did another few tests.

Still not right. 5G jug was filled in 20mins. My TDS out is now reading 25.

What should it take in time to fill the 5G ?

Can anyone spot something wrong in my setup?

Well, first of all, the unit shouldn't be drippin/leaking. Mine never did a single drop.
Second, check if you installed the RO membrane corectly.
Waste flow should be much biger than filtered flow.
Depending on your tap water temperature and PPM to fill up a 5g jug should take between 1 hour 15 min to 2 hours.

    Thanks for the pointers...

So can you just confirm that my hose connections are correct and my values are in the right position?

I will now check all the filters to ensure they are in alignment.

My waste water output is about 1/2 of what is coming out pure water, so for sure there is something wrong.

I'll do this now and see how that goes.

Check the arrows on the top two cartriges for flow direction.
Looking at the picture everything seems to be hooked up right.
Check the RO membrane if it's sitting ok.
Your output PPM should be 0.

Check the RO Membrane cartridge...open it up and ensure that there is a membrane in there.

Not exactly....you want it as close to 0 as possible, but if the input water is really high, you may get a slightly higher reading than 0 in the output water. Anything above 5 (or is it 10 ??) would be considered no good.
For us city folks, most of us will see 0.

    Thanks Bonaqua and PWALL!!

Guess what it was no RO cartridge. Duh.

I bought the system with a full set of 5 cartridges for replacements this was months ago maybe even a year ago! So in the box I saw 5 replacments so I assumed there were 5 in the system as shipped. I guess I might have mis-placed one RO but don't think so. Maybe short shipped, I don't know.

BUT it is working now. No leaks or drips and my output is much slower than the waste. Looks like it will be more than an hr for my 5g.

I've got 134 going in 007 coming out. So is it less than 5 or less than 10 that I can use.

Thanks for taking the time to respond....
