My GFs tank has become VERY cloudy. I suspect that it's a bacterial bloom...I had one a few weeks ago myself...but hers isn't going away at all, and in fact seems to be getting worse.
All of the parameters are perfect. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, I can't remember the nitrate atm, but it was quite low and well within the safe range. There was a pH issue when it went down to 7.6, but we couldn't figure out the cause. The best we could figure was that it was caused by the bacterial bloom. She used buffer and the pH is now stable at 8.1.
It's been well over a week now and we're starting to get concerned. We've tried carbon and large water changes...nothing has any effect(which is what I experienced with my bacterial bloom), except that mine only lasted a week and then cleared up on it's own.
The fish(seahorses) are eating and acting normally, and even showing courting behaviour. They don't seem bothered in the least.
Any ideas??
