    he changes 1500liters of water per month, and completely replaces the sandbed every few months...

    Sheesh. I didn't think there was that much money in fireplaces.

    The sump room is 12'x15'. That is the size of my living room.

    Just did the math, he is burning 78 KWH per day with main lighting alone.

    I can imagine another 40 KWH for pumps, etc.

    I hope his electric rates in the Netherlands are cheap.

    Just a few corrections, water changes are 1500 liters per WEEK.

    But, it's not 5 gallons of phyto per day, but 5 liters.

    He also mentions a RO unit by ROWA that produces 4000liters per day. I looked on deltec's (europe) web site. They mention some RO unit, but they are regular rate, nothing like 4000liters per day!
