    Was the heater fully submersed. I had one, didn't notice the water level got low, forgot to unplug it, filled tank back up with water, and boom the heater exploded all over the place. Shot glass right across the room, I was lucky not to get some glass stuck in me.
    55 Gallon w 22 lbs of live sand and 40 lbs of crushed coral.
    60 lbs of live rock. 220 watts PC lighting.

    Damsel, clowns, xenia, digitata, green star polyps, torch, zoo's, candycane, shrooms.

    ya it was totally submerged, is snapped right in half at the beggining of the coiled element. kind of a wierd crack.. straight ring but like with barbwire pattern in it.

    i just picked up 2 ebo jager 250w.. should be ok for now, on the next tank, i might opt in to get those titanium rod heaters with the external probe.. or maybe get a controller.. that would be best.

    moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
    planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.
